Shw'mae - I am Nigel Fenlon and this website reflects my interest in walking and the Brecon Beacons - and will hopefully inspire you to take an interest in exploring this area of
Wales.
The website is called 'Fenwalking' because this is a term some friends coined for me years ago - because whenever we go on trips I always want to walk around and explore.
If you come to stay within the National Park I will be happy to talk to you about things to do and places to see and if you want, and I'm available, I will happily show you the sights - no charge.
I am fortunate enough to own a property in Penderyn, a village on the southern edge of the Brecon Beacons National Park, that provides a great base to explore the area.
I bought the property in 2008 and spent the next nine years renovating it and feel that it offers a high standard of accommodation and comfort. (It can be booked via Airbnb.)
I have always found the people of Penderyn to be warm and friendly and think that it is a great location for a relaxing break.
